Of course it was, I new it was an ANAGRAM, but just couldnt see it. I'm also battling with 9A Say OK to a very quiet car. I'm toying with ACQUIESCE or something like it. Help needed Andy and many thanks.

I had approve for that one Bill, based on the following.

Say OK = approve (def)
very quiet + PP
the car was rove(r) + a (in the clue)
