Hi. It's my Dad's 70th birthday soon. Part if his present is a trip to Bletchley Park, home of WW2 code breaking. We want to give him a cryptic crossword clue to solve to find out what this part of the gift is. The answer needs to be "trip to Bletchley Park" or similar.
Can you help? Thanks!

Thanks Mamya. My Dad's an expert crossworder, but regretfully I am not. Could you explain your clue for the hard of thinking?

Of course -

Confused [indicates an anagram] of "Berk! Telly chap" leading to

Bletchley Park

Enigma refers to the code machine.

Brilliant thanks. I notice also Bletchley Park also contains the word "cypher" which would be a nice anagramatic inclusion, but I can't make the other letters work well enough. Hmmm

Will have another think - am very surprised none of the excellent clue setters on here have come up with something.

Just noticed this (had assumed mamya was solving a clue !)

How about ;-

A place thy bloke Turing worked (1,9,4,6)

anagram (worked) of "a place thy bloke Turing worked" gives Bletchley Park outing

Alan Turing was the genius at the helm of this vital part of the war effort

Tell a cypher book nothings gone mad and see the real enigma of Alan Turing (9,4)
explanation :
Tell a cypher b(oo)k (nothings gone) (mad = anagram indicator) = Bletchley Park.
see the real enigma of Alan Turing .
(this is where he will see the actual enigma machine Alan Turing worked on while leading a team of scientists at Bletchley Park during WW2).

Ps. Hope he has a wonderful day.
