Got so excited over the Christmas puzzle completely forgot about no51, and my brain is so confused I need help.

College film show ???N (is it ETON?)
Odds on shaft producing jets ???A?

The first one is (I think) ARCHETYPE. Anagram of reach + type (syn of sort).

The second one is ETON. Extra-terrestial + on.

Thanks Terry. THat helps me with the "odds on" clue which I guess is SPRAY.

The college one is now ?T?N which looks more like ETON, but cant get the reference to film showing

The film is ET (exta-terrestial).

It,s SPRAY because "starting price" =SP +RAY (a shaft of light) = spray (a jet of fluid or vapour).
