I'm glad there's no-one to hear me muttering the first 3 words of aristo's clue 48ac!

emrach, if you have some of the letters, it's worth doing Quicksolve on them!

I have now only one left -- greedy kites 33 down -- a nudge, hint would be appreciated please.
So many great clues to choose from but for me, the
best clue, i thought, was by busby 20ac made me laugh.

20ac made me laugh, but I have an issue with the parsing (sorry busby!) I don't think either half of the clue works.

I did like 16a, 28a, 43a, 4d, and 7d. I'm sure there'll be others when I understand them!

bobs mum: only just seen your request! If it's not too late, think Irish pop music & literature (modern classic) --- the rest is in Google!
Otherwise of course the now -published cluing details on the forum.

Thanks to all for your comments re some of my clues.
No need for an apology Bullfrog. Just wondering if any of you have read a book called "Lets talk strine". Googling the title will bring up many links but here's one where someone has posted some of the phrases and added some new ones. It helps if you blur one word into the next. So...gityerarsn sufin anavar ead.

Cheers.
