Good Afternoon. Sorry for being a bit late today. Here are this week's clues. No. 5 "may" prove a wee bit difficult. I always regrat thinking this. LOL. Happy solving! J

I set crossies just for pleasure. I wonder if some of you excellent regulars would like to try a few of my clues? Since they're new, no letters!

2. Disagreeable as it may be, breed out sensitivity to pain (7)

3. Being restricted by one who’s up to no good is not possible (2,2)

4. West African one-liners are a riot (6,7)

5. Office of an ancient British chief to write to press (loosely) perhaps? (13)
