I'm down to the last one!
52D Saw a team member initially securing duck. (5)
A - I - M
The only word I can come up with is AXIOM which seems inappropriate. Any ideas please?

Yes, axiom - a saw/saying.

It's
a = a
xi =team/X1/eleven
o= duck
m= member initially

I did it differently! saw = maxim, take off the M (maybe with the saw?) include O (duck) AXIOM
A bit odd but it worked for me!
