4 down. Lecturer getting keen about computer chip (7).

I have everything finished apart from this one - and, with the letters I have, only one word will fit that I am aware of (a word which would relate to a skin complaint), but I can't for the life of me see how it fits here.

All help appreciated.

I've googled 'blister' and 'computer' but didn't find a convincing link. Mmmm.

blitter is a computer chip!

It's under "blit" in Chambers

... and I suppose "keen" is bitter around L

D'oh. Thanks Sudokulover. Serves me right for being lazy and using Chambers online (which only gave blister) rather than the reassuringly big red book.

I'm sure there is a moral here.
