Was puzzled by the parsing for a few today, any help appreciated...

Old German king's an attractive man - HUNK?

Cooked cervid hotel (Irish) imported ends up on it - DINNER SERVICE (Ends up on it)

Find 13 here firstly by ringing Eastbourne, not old city - BREASTBONE - 13 is Bone Marrow - So it's an Anagram of B + Eastbourne - U, but why U for Old City?

Substandard, not even accepted into cast - SHODDY?

Bitterness is private so I hear - RANCOUR If it's a homonym, what is it of?

Got it, thanks Les, thanks Busby.

PS Why, for 'Breastbone' is only the U of Ur taken from Eastbourne?

Find 13 here = Breast bone (DEF)
Also first letter = B + by (next to) ringing (R?) [R = ring usually) = BReastbo[ur]ne
not old city = -ur

I'll stand corrected on this one if it's wrong

Forget that one Brendan, I don't like it myself and will thus correct myself

How about this:

Find 13 (Bone marrow) here = Breastbone

Firstly (first letters of) (b)y (r)inging = Br + Eastbourne / then take away Ur = BR-Eastbone

That's better, don't know what I was waffling before about the 'ringing' being 'R'

Please forgive my sillyness
