How did the tennis go?

Hi Red'elf. I managed to amaze myself. It's a doubles competition where I oppose one other over four matches, but we change partners throughout the night. I managed to win all 6-0, 6-2, 6-4, 6-2. The aches and pains for the next couple of days are apparently good for me.

You will never see me at Wimbledon. I was fifty before I ever held a "tennis bat". One of my sons signed me up without my knowledge.

You obviously have the ability. I personally have no 'hand - eye' co-ordination when it comes to hitting a ball with a club/stick/bat etc in my hand. Give me a ball to carry or bowl- that's a completely different thing

What sports have you been involved with ? Carrying a ball sounds like "footy" of some sort, could the bowling be cricket, or maybe bowls ?

I'm not saying it's a long time since I've been tenpin bowling, but the holes in my ball have healed up!

My only success at ten pin is when the bumpers are up.

rugby union has always been my game - wing forward in my day with stand off as my target. But have also dabbled in cricket as a mean medium paced bowler.
