Hi. Chrise and Mags thanks for agreeing with me on 11 ac. But, Mags, I took the “sort of” to indicate that is was intended to be an anagram and the “cover” to mean that the letters of “feeble” went around “XI”. I can see nothing in the clue to indicate where the other “L” came from. I hate to say it, but I think that the setter made a mistake in this clue. Does anyone know better?

For once I managed to finish this Crossword without having to seek your help - a first for me!! However with what I have for the coastal fort clue (and incidentally the first word appears in the Only Connect puzzle on the next page) I still cannot really `see` how the answer fits in. Is this part of the compiler`s bad hair day?

Don't you just hate these people who complain that it's too easy? It might be EASIER but not TOO easy. At least when you're as fick as wot me is.
