Good morning friends! I'm hoping today's offering will prove a 'mix' in difficulty. We'll see. Happy solving. J

I set crossies just for pleasure. I wonder if some of you excellent regulars would like to try a few of my clues? Since they're new, no letters!

Please withhold solutions till 5 pm (GMT) to allow others to have a go.

1. Apparently it’s where the sub may be found (2,3,7)

2. Not satisfied with her leaving hut when timer went off (5)

3. Back-breaking action on troublesome alarm (13)

4. Plant for a chef to top and tail (6)

5. Play hesitating to keep entertaining good assembly (7,3,5)

Now I've had a chance to look at them properly - I've definitely got #4 and I believe #5. Will continue to work on the others.
