Like others I have found todays puzzle very weird!
I need two answers. 1ac 3,3 Publicity that's sent round to confuse ??t ?ff I assume the second word is off.

1d (6) Rather charming to look at.

1ac Put off
Puff = Publicity

Put Out has 'puff', publicity,' sent round'/enclosing 'to'.

1d Pretty

I typed Put Out rather than Put Off - one of the pop-up ads popped up and distracted me. Sorry.
