(Could be 'story' but cannot uderstand the found in a pen?)
Clue: vessel in dock.
?A?I?

Clue: Teased and made cracks.
?H?P?E?D

(could be chipped or chapped I suppose but have not heard of this for the 'teased' part of the clue)
(Could be 'basin' what do you think?)

The first one is 'Story' - It's Pen = STY and 'Or' ST or Y

No problem, as far as the other 2 are concerned I think you are probably right with 'Basin' and 'Chipped' but, like you, I'm not 100% convinced.

Basin is good, both a vessel and a dock
