Full grid & found first 7 letter group quite quickly.
But struggling with second 7 letter group.

Struggling with the last instruction.
Gentlest of hint would be appreciated

If you have found the seven-letter string then that's associated with a four-letter word. Treat that word as an instruction.

Have barked up a different tree!
Found 7 letter string that when anagramed produces a 8 letter word - letter at begining of word is already in correct position.
Only thing i can see that makes sense.

I have no idea what you mean... anyway in the final grid there's no need to perform anagrams, just a smooth(-ish) transformation. of a single seven-letter string. The relevant position is hinted at by the word you should have highlighted.

Im finding this ev very hard even after readingf al the posts. i just dont seem to be able to understand what is wanted. iI haveonly just done a few clues and eventh e 2 that i think need letters taking out dont make sense becaues I dont' know which letter to take out. Think i will give up, Iwas getting on quite vwell with the past few weeks.
