(I've only just looked in on the off-chance)
That's very odd about GEO Magazine: if you google "Geo in English" you will find it certainly is and has been available in English for some time, and not only for India! I thought I'd seen it in the UK, too, last year. However, if it is so little known, I apologize for mentioning it as part of a clue.if you ever get the chance, take a look at it --far superior to Nat. Geographic in my opinion, which I subscribed to for ages!

Thanks to everyone. Sorry I was away for the bulk of the afternoon, but one must take every opportunity to get out in reasonably clement weather _ a bit cold, though!)

GALLIPOT is a new word for me, rambler - I don't think I'll get much chance to use it, though.

I've not been warm since coming home. Do you think it's true about the blood thinning in hot climates? I've got to lead a walk next month so I hope it warms up - sitting eating sandwiches in this weather doesn't appeal!
