15d Primate\'s prize tree (9)

I think it should be monkeypot but that seems to be the outer shell of a nut. However monkeypod is a tree of sorts but unless pod can mean prize it doesn\'t make sense because the t is from 26a The confirmed bachelor won\'t do something decisive (4,3,6) which I am convinced is take the plunge.
Any thoughts.

There is definitely a monkey pot tree - just googled it so you are right!

Monkeypot is a tree, a prize in the form of a cup being a pot.

Thanks for your help. There sems to be both monkeypot and pod trees - different species. Must get a new dictionary because it only gave the pod tree.
