I keep meaning to re-read The Daughter Of Time - I remember it being fascinating...

Hugh Ross Williamson in "Historical Enigmas" argues similarly to Josephine Tey - indeed the last sentence of the first section of the article on Richard is:
"But Morton's propaganda-romance has little relation to any facts, and the interesting question for the historian is not , Did Richard III murder the Princes? but, When did Henry VII order their death?"

I like Josephine Tey very much - my favourite is "Brat Farrar".
Recently Nicola Upson has written a series of novels which feature Josephine Tey as a character - not sure if I like them, though.

I meant to add - Colin Dexter did a very entertaining "solve from hospital bed" for Morse called "The wench is dead". No claim to historical relevance on that one, though.
