As far as I understood, Les is in Chamonix to ski the Vallée Blanche for a week beginning last Saturday. I shouldn't think there's any cause for alarm.

So many good ones, but I especially liked BigBad's 13a, Bullfrog's 11d, and Syzzie's 33d. Loved ixie's "fed up", but it took a while for me to get it because over here fed up means only exasperated and angry (had to consult Chambers). Great clues, EVERYONE!
