I set crossies just for pleasure. I wonder if some of you excellent regulars would like to try a few of my clues? Since they're new, no letters!

Please withhold solutions till 5 pm (GMT) to allow others to have a go.

Yes, it does take a bit of getting used to; some great improvements, some less popular.

At first look I got #3 (actually it took rather more than a look!). I will continue to think about the others.

Why Jolan, what have you done to yourself? You look so different. Will have to put this on ice for a bit, since I'm in the midst of scraping (coincidentally) ice off of everything. I'm sure we all miss having you on top. :)
