29a Clue:- Persons forging metal(7)?E?D?R?
Knowing the often crap clues issued by this crossword compiler, I think the answer is meant to be WELDERS but it could just possibly be BENDERS (as in sheet metal benders)!

Anyone got any views?

Thanks rossim and shooty.

On balance I think shooty's answer 'BENDER' is correct. In Collins Dictionary, one definition of forging is "shaping metal by heating and hammering"
