I think this could be a misdirection to the bible but could simply be this Tuesday (New years day) and the answer could be DATE and a date is a fruit.

Male lamb?

At lambing time, they call the ewes 'Dams' (same as cattle and horses) so if a Dam was having a kid and it was a male, then it would be a 'son' or a 'Damson'

Fruit = Damson

What do you think?
