Am struggling with the last couple of normal clues in this. Any help gratefully received.
22 D. Work a long time, pocketing Guinea (5)

17 D. Outdated society match (5) sa??m
(The 'a' is a bit iffy).

17d looks like steam

22 looks like Ergon (work unit) can see long time - eon + G but cant see the R

guinea give RG as abbreviation. ergon unit of work looks good.

Thanks, both of you - I'd tried 'g' round 'eon' but completely missed 'gr'.
