Very difficult choice, with several that really appealed to me. I go for:

bobsmum @ 30

Great phrase ab and look at all the great clues!

For sheer succinctness paul @21 is my vote, but other favourites were les40 @25 (excellent wordplay), ixion @34 and gk @3 (both very funny)

I thought gk's #3and #6 both clever and funny, aristophanes' complex #32 accomplished as usual but for its seemingly effortless perfect construction my vote goes to

bullfrog #24
