Byrd ( a famous explorer - not famous to me!)
Colorado (color+ado, 'color' being the way they'd spell it!).

Many thanks, Malone, but as is so often the case, once I had written them down I had a vague recollection of Byrd and Colorado seemed clear also [I kept thinking of country rather than state as in US state] - but not the parsing - much appreciate your help, thanks again...
