It could be - blind, build, Baird . . . but none make sense with the clue.

Can someone help?

Blind - screen

Idol at the end = L

Bind is a crashing bore

Didn't know 'bind' was used about people, as in 'a crashing bore'.

I've only heard it used in relation to a task, like, "It's such a bind to have to clear up the kitchen before there's room to cook".

sorry I worded that wrong really the 'L' is crashing into a 'Bind' a bore.
