I finished this OK, but couldn't fully
parse three of the clues, which are:-
7 Down - "Last order in pub? NI party
hides green strip"
Answer is "drink up" but I couldn't
see where the green strip came into it!

20 Down - "I aim somehow to grab drunk
policemen with arms"
Answer is "militia" but where do the
drunk policemen fit in?

5 Down - "Praise god of marriage,
not Earth"
Answer for that would appear to be
"hymn" but I haven't been able to
associate "Earth" with anything!

Anybody care to sort me out?!

'policemen with arms' is the definition,
drunk = lit.

Many thanks to one and all! I kept thinking that it was "DP" for the NI party, and, of
course, it's "DUP", so thanks, Mamya! And,
as for "hymen" I was trying to bring in the
bodily function. I forgot about the other
Hymen! And yes, I didn't take in the "lit"
bit, meaning "drunk". So thanks to one and
all for keeping me on my toes!!
