So what is it?

I can't find anything to link UTTER and DEAD.
I even found that there is a time of barister called UTTER.

But not DEAD!!

Where do you get it?

Well utter means perfect, total, sort of like you would say "God he's dead goreous !"

I resisted this but I must concede.

But I thought this use was a Dublin/Irish thing and not for the Sundat Times!

Chambers Thes carries it under 'dead'. Hope this is 'English' enough!
