2 down Position for cricketer around Irish golf club.

I have m-d-r-n and I want the answer to be midiron. Except that seems barmy. Any help anyone??

Ir for Irish
guess midiron is a golf club?
i know diddly-squat about sport tho.
there are a few golfers here.
