Probably is souse - according to the dictionary it means plunge into liquid

Thanks morag i do think souse bit iffy looked up old dictionary my mum had and it says fall into water so i put that in as just cant thin what else it could be and the daily record always had a clue that the answer makes no sense to man nor beast should be used to that by now i suppose.

Yeah - a lot of the daily record clues are a bit iffy to say the least.

They defo drive me nuts every week but still do the crossword never mind , think souse is the word to go with and when you do your copy can you let me know if you get hyperspace for 92d i be most grateful.
