I set crossies just for pleasure. I wonder if some of you excellent regulars would like to try a few of my clues? Since they're new, no letters!

3. Duplicates late callers (4,7)
4. Matches held out of court may help keep one fit (8.4)
5. The Goth is struggling to capture a hooligan, bear up and undergo punishment (2,7,3,4)

Hi Chris and Tony (gosh Tony, you sure get 'em quick). And, Chris, I try to vary the level of difficulty (without using words which have to be researched) and have found that what I might consider difficult, others find easy-peasy.

I also got no.2 pretty quickly but I'm struggling with the rest.

God day Rossim. No. 2 seems to have been readily spotted. I'm just taking an occasional peek in while trying to get sufficiently enthused to go out and start conifer trimming. It's windy and quite parky here.
