19D Boozer’s body found in squat, covered in refuse (7)
I have D???I?Y - can think of possibilities but have no explanation of why they might be correct

and, this one I'm ashamed of:

22A Piercing cry (4) - I have ?E??

Any help much appreciated.

Thank you, I considered yell but couldn't reconcile that to a cryptic clue. I was looking for a word that meant both cry and piercing.

The cryptic part of the clue gives den-sit-y, but I don't see how that relates to "boozer's body"

I think perhaps keen for the cry - means to weep, and sharp

Thanks for "keen" - I must admit I didn't know it meant cry.

As for density, I agree, fits the cryptic part perfectly. All I can think of is that it is used to measure the strength of alcohol.
