Having some trouble parsing these:

… in soft enough ground, accepting initially even the error exiting the trap? (4,2,3,6) s-i- o- t-e -o-g-e
I'm guessing from the letters slip of the tongue but I don't see where it comes from. An anagram of insoftenough and something else? and I don't understand the definition.

Also: Aid for tourists in Edinburgh's good online reading material
I've got guidebook in, ebook for online reading material, g for good? but what's all that Edinburgh business about?

Thanks very much!!

I got 'slip of the tongue' but didn't bother why except that 'error exiting the trap' is a definition, if trap = mouth.

Thanks! I feel much better now I can see the definition! I think it's an anagram of softenough with lip from the previous clue.

6d I think it is an anagram of soft enough
containing 'lip' + e + t (initial letters of even the). The lip comes from the previous clue.

Playing with the letters, all I've got is that 'slip of the tongue' is an anagram of 'soft enough' plus the letters eilpt - huh?

Sorry, cross posted. But why would the 'lip' come from the previous answer? How would you know it's the 'lip' which you need?

edge of hole... is in
The ellipsis indicates that the clues are connected

Oh yeah, thanks. I like his way of running things together and separating them in unexpected ways, as in 21A and this one.
