for 9A I think 7=opera(performance)8=tor(hill)

Yes, deebee10, you probably have the last three letters of 15d. correct, but you need another synonym!
That will make 17ac end in H, and 20 in N!
17 is where Betjeman wanted bombs to drop, and 29 is in the word "pawnbroker".
