Fiddlesticks is a way of playing the fiddle with straws or knitting needles. A second player does it while the first uses the bow. Typical to Cajun music.
The clue is a double def but I am using playing as a false anagrind to misdirect to an anagram of the straws rot with Cajun as the false def.

Just noticed Rossim #5 similar clue, hadn't spotted it before- honest.
