Can't make any sense of these two. As ever, any help would be welcome.
19d. Wife held in discredit, being in prison once (7) N-W---E. I guess the W is for wife, but nohere and discredit?
28a. The job would be a bit too much for these Athenian characters (6) T-E---
I think this is the plural of a greek letter, so possible thetas, but again, I don't get the wordplay. Any thoughts?
