Surprised that no one seems to have spotted spelling error in Times2 Jumbo 993: 47 across=castEr sugar (only possible spelling, Collins Complete Unabridged Dictionary), 48 down (observed events)=phenEmena??oops! Obviously phenOmena, but then castEr won't fit! castEr, without sugar next to it, can be spelt castOr, but not as "caster sugar".

is so named because it is of the right fineness for use in a sugar caster or sprinkler. (The spelling ‘castor’ is now quite common.) This is the same as ‘superfine sugar’ in N. America.

Rosalie. That was spotted and discussed in an earlier thread. Someone wrote then that it was American spelling. I hope the compiler doesn`t ask for `labor` or `woolen` !! M.
