20 down I have two possible answers for

Disney's rabbit's big lie (7)

Whopper - (W - Disney's initial) + Hopper for rabbit. Although this doesn't fit with my 24 across

Thumper - Name of the rabbit in Disney's Bambi, but have never heard of a thumper meaning "big lie". This does fit with my 24 across though.

thumper can also be a big lie (Chambers)

I too put in Whopper but found it didn't fit with 24a, so I then opted for Thumper.

Collins gives 'a big lie' as an example of 'a thumper'.

I had WHOPPER first too - in some ways a better answer (except that it doesn't fit)
