aaaarrrgh, please let's not have the cheating controversy again!
I can't see how using reference books in this way could ever be thus described.
It's my bithday soon- going to ask for Bradford's and an up-to-date Chambers

We all use reference books, as far as I know, and we should. How else do we learn?I'd never heard of "gaff" (for Jolan's 5) yesterday, so two more words filed away in what passes as a brain (gaffe as well).
I'm off to make a children's story book about a ladybird called Alice (I take it you don't eat them, GK, though I saw people eating scorpions and grasshoppers in China).

It's worth while keeping an eye on the site. It does great deals on book collections. They email you special offers - e.g. post free for orders over a tenner.

And no, I don't work for them :-)
