Hi magworth - 7d is an anagram of the first three words minus an S and the first word of 18a ends in a Y

Chris - I`ve got 7d - checked the spelling, there`s no I. I also have the word ending in Y but it should be another word for tipsy, I thought, but there is no `r` in 7d !! Dont tell me - yet!!
The mollusc, Raymond, is one he`s used before. ¬ One time` (past) minus the first letter.

By George I`ve got it!! Was convinced that the TV presenter was that pretty girl who plays the piano, amongst other things. I hadn`t got 20ac. before.

I'm late checking in as I've only just got home (about an hour ago) from a weekend down in lovely Dorset. I still have 13d 16a, 22a to do, but brain is too full of the sun, toes still a bit sandy, and mosquito bites itching. Not asking for clues yet, but well done chrisg.

magworth, I was as convinced as you about 7d - would never have got the other one without anagramsolver. Still struggling, but may be able to progress now I have the correct 7d. Well done chrisg - impressively fast solving.
