WELD or MELD?

I think 'Weld' since 'Meld' is an Americanism.

My dictionary says weld is to unite closely or intimately - so my vote is for weld

Thanks chrisg. I think it's 'weld' also, since 'meld' is an Americanism....well I've only ever heard Americans use the word which is a combination of the words 'melt' and 'weld'.

I go with Weld. In GB you meld cards in various card games but that's just layimg down sets.
