The clue for 26 down is given as - thin strip of WOD in shed. Is WOD a spelling mistake & the crucial word is SHED making the answer SPILL?

Andy - if I can be so informal and shorten your name - I wasn't having a dig about Rangers I just feel there is a lot more to come and none of it good. Not a Gers fan myself but as a football fan I am worried about the repercussions on Scottish Football and many many employees involved in the game. Hope I didn't offend

Thanks emrach & kiki2 - I managed to complete it after a good night's sleep & some work in the garden. A strigil is something that is in common use in these parts & the only thing I know about elvan is there is a street in Motherwell with that name. Who thinks up the clues?
