38 across OS in full 8,6.If the first word is ordnance my answer to 34d of considerate is wrong and my answer to 39d of hindrance is also wrong.Please put me straight.

I think that the word is ordinary seaman.
I also put in ordnance survey which does not seem ok.

considerate and hindrance are answers to 34d the question being "thinking of others" and 39d the question being "something that holds back"
