sorry for not replying sooner but have a family who needed to be fed.
The anagram comes from shaded areas in the crossword. A pic is included. You can see it is a female but for the most part it is shaded out.

Generally what they are looking for is a celebrity or a character in for example a soap/film.

I know zilch about films and minus zilch about celebrities. But you cn get the female names Maria and Marie out of that, and Cooper as surname if you don't use the R, though that does leave you with Mania!

Crutches Are you 100% certain you have all the letters correct? You have obviously got them from solving other clues so it might be worth checking.
