Hi, need the parsing explained on these:-

Like eggs in old tub on bed of ice - OVATE (where does 'ice' come in)?

The BED of ice is the last letter E

Meant to ask, in the following:-

I see that 'meddling' is InTERference with the instruction to avoid Right (maybe RT) but how is the 'e' excluded?

the word 'the' without it's middle letter (or heart) leaves the letters t and e. plus the R gives TER.
