Stuck on German Physicists and French Vocabulary. Is there a Brainbox out there willing to help

23a: "1990's drama means nothing to German physicist on radio". -o-r -u-t-

17d: "Explosive hub held in France, say". -o-d---. Can this be "Cordite"? I can see how Cord justifies "hub" but what about the rest. I can help you with any of the others that you might be stuck on but these two kept me awake in bed all last night!

I think your 'r' must be wrong. It looks like LOVE HURTS

Thanks sarumite for the prompt reply

I do feel a fool, I was fixed on the \"hold\" bit and ignoring the \"say\" which usually appears in xwords in another context.

Just need somebody to com up with the 90\'s drama now.

Thanks Bullfrog

I'm an idiot twice over! The "r" was an error and came from the box above it. I should have entered "e". It is a very good clue though, (but ironically it would have probably been easier with "say" at the end instead of "radio"

Hi Up t'owls,

I quite liked the radio element as it tied in with '1990's drama' to create maximum confusion!

Cheers,

Bullfrog
