I want to place "avid" (43a) but have "o" from "appropriate" (33d), what have I done wrong? Is "Somalia" correct? (29d)

It's "very eager"

could be avid or keen or maybe agog (has got an "O" in it)
Are you sure "appropriate" is - ahem - the appropriate answer?

The clue for \"appropriate\" is \"proper;take\". I think \"agog\" may be correct, it\'s the last clue to complete! Could it be?

Appropriate seems spot on, if agog fits it is probably right.
