13D Go for it having no alternative
three letters ??t

13d looks like fit (for it with the or removed) but don't see how it fits the clue

I think we'll need the answer to 22 to help with the other one

I've got more on 5A:
it's now ?a?v?a? - 22 down is RIGA but I don't think it's relevant as the 22nd letter of the alphabet is V !! - I could be wrong though !!

as Riga is the capital city of Latvia, maybe the answer\\\'s Latvian. I can\\\'t work out why though!
