according to wikipedia the words shark and cigarette are from the Mayan language

Coyote immediately comes to mind (Nahuatl).

Avocado

chocolate and tomato are from Aztec via Spanish

Quetzal, of course (also Nahuatl)- but then it would have an Aztec name, wouldn't it? It's in Chambers anyway.

all you've got to do is google and there is a very long list of english words from ameridian words,which include aztec (nahuatl)and mayan. Shack, Ocelot and Mole are on the list. what I want to know is what has the person who asked got against Incas.

aristo, very common mistake there you know, about shack. over here every schoolboy knows that it's xacalli/thatched cabin.
