tonyw, we're not supposed to comment on people's clues. But if I did I would agree with you.

I know it's not the done thing to comment but could Paul have meant:

Half a clippie = chip

Half - semi
a clippie is a female bus 'conductor'

Phillip,we did try to start a separate thread for CLUELESS comments but I think the thread has now become confused with the peer revue so we cannot blame anybody now for their opinions on this one.I do agree though.Perhaps the winner should post "CLUELESS "and "CLUELESS comments"at the same time .

I think tonyw's point is that it is a bit rich that somebody who confuses chippy with clippie and also seems to think that half a chippy is "chip" rather than chi or ppy should question others about their clue.
