I am finding today's Guardian (set by Brendan) frustrating as lots of answers I only partly understand. However I have come down to two blanks, for which I would appreciate hints:
28ac Northern tributary of Seine - that's what we hear (5)
I have N?L?? (though the L may be wrong - that's one of the ones I don't fully understand)
25dn Sign French author's anti-hero put up (4)I have O???
The last of 28ac and the third of 25dn are in crossers
